My baby turns 5!

I can't believe that yesterday at 6:19pm my baby Cheyenne turned 5 years old! How is that even possible? Can I be old enough to even have a 5 year old? She had a fun day, we had a happy meal for lunch and yummy egg pancakes for breakfast! that is what she wanted. Her party isn't until next sat (pics to come). And both S and I had to work yesterday, but she was happy and content with her day!
She is such a lovey! We are so thankful to have her in our lives. I have a special bond with her~she is the one who changed my life~she's the one who made me a mother and for that I am so thankful! Chey, thanks for being such a great helper and wonderful big sister~you take so much on, more than a normal 5 year old would. Thanks for being my friend and for keeping me on my toes!

Happy Birthday Big Girl! We are so proud of you and all you have become in these short 5 years! Your sissy and little brother love you so much and look up to you always! Mommy and daddy love you too and are so glad you are ours!! We love u!

Big Shoe, Little Shoe

So I just had to post this picture cause A. I love it and 2. it's fun having the same shoes with one of your kids! We love that daddy gets discounts from converse through his work, so when we were up in Folsom we went to the converse outlet and get Chey some shoes. (she is growing like a weed and the shoes I bought her for school were too small already). Anyway, enjoy the picture.

An unexpected visit!

So we decided to go visit my parents last week. I literally decided Sunday night and we left Tuesday morning! IT was so much fun~Shane had to go to Maine for a conference so we were able to stay a whole week! The girls miss their nanny and papa and their cousins, so it was great to have time to play! Here are a few highlights from our trip.... this is the i~joy-an exercise thingy that works your "core" but the girls love to ride it like a wild horse! It's really funny to watch!
We went to one of our favorite places~APPLE HILL! We love it and it has a ton to do and a ton of great and yummy food to eat!

The girls during a " I love my sister" moment!

The huge and hungry pig we visited at one of the apple orchards.

The view~one of my favorites!
We are home now and we really missed daddy~we were away from each other for 11 days total. We miss nanny and papa, but we will see them at Christmas~it's going to be here in Palm Desert! We can't wait.

HALLOOWEEEENNNNN!!

Well, I took a little blogging break~(it seems like a lot of us have done that lately.) We had a fun and busy Halloween this year. We went to Idyllwild~a fun little town up in the mountains. It's much cooler there so we like to go and get away from the heat. They have a fun carnival and trick-or-treating to all the businesses there. We brought along Dorthy and Glinda the good witch with us. One day this is what Chey will look like with hair longer that 2 inches! Only blonde! She was so cute and everybody loved her costume! She loved having hair which was a riot to watch!
This was our attempt at Halloween costumes. Shane in his orange striped shirt and me in my "lite-up" bat and skull shirt! Cute picture I think!?

Shelby as Glinda the good witch. Once she took off the crown most people thought she was a princess~she didn't care, she was just happy to dress up and get candy because of it!

Cody in his outfit. HE hates having anything on or near his head~so we opted out of getting him a costume. He was just fine with that and besides~he's too cute just the way he is!

The girls together~They have been getting along so much better lately. (thank the heavens above!) They had so much fun today being together and helping each other get all the candy possible! They are too cute for words and I am so thankful for my girls! It's so great having girls and now a boy~they really are different! Chey and Shelb are such girls too~and all the drama that goes along with being a girl! There is always some catastrophe and I have to find my inner calm and try to fix it! They are my girls though, and I couldn't imagine my life without them. I look forward to my girls growing up and becoming 2 of my best friends! Happy Halloween all you ghost and goblins and you princesses too!!

Oh Baby!

Okay so this is an update of Cody at 6 months plus! The doctor was booked with appts until yesterday. Our little happy, crazy, fun, and lovey boy is ... 20.2lbs~and 26in! He's a stinkin monster! So does this mean that when he turns one in 6 months, he will by a 40lb one year old!!??? I love it though and he is such a chunk that he crawls everywhere and bonks his head on everything and it doesn't even phase him. We love our little man! Here's to you Cody, making mommy's arms rock solid from carrying u everywhere! :)

MY little (BIG) 6 month old!

Fell asleep while feeding him sweet potatoes! Loves finding his car seat and playing in it!

Look at that little bummy! love it!

My sweet boy, playing in the water. He is such a fish!

How can it be that my little man is already 6 months old?! I feel like I am always blogging about him and maybe not the girls so much, but their milestones don't come as close together anymore. :( Anyway, He is becoming quite the crawler and getting into EVERYTHING. That window of me getting something done before he makes it to the dog's water or the coffee table, or stuck under the kitchen table is rapidly disappearing. HE keeps me busy everyday, but it one of the lights of my life! He has so much fun with his sisters and they keep him busy and out of trouble. He loves food and has fallen asleep a couple of times while eating. (c picture above. ) Cody, we love you so much and we are so thankful that you came to our family. U bring so much fun and laughter and joy to us. You are a special little boy and I think part of your mission in life was to help your daddy become who he truly is, and for that I am so thankful. HE loves you so much and to see the way your daddy looks at you is heart-melting! I'm just glad that you finally like him now. (U would cry/scream every night I would leave for work~i was worried for a bit) Here's to another 6 months until you are one year!!!

Love this quote!

I found this quote on a friends, friends blog and I LOVE IT! Every time I check her blog I read it and it refocuses me on what I need to focus on. Here it is~enjoy!

Both abundance and lack of abundance exist simultaneously in our lives, as parallel realities. It is always our conscious choice which secret garden we will tend . . . when we choose not to focus on what is missing from our lives but are grateful for the abundance that’s present—love, health, family, friends, work, the joys of nature, and personal pursuits that bring us happiness—the wasteland of illusion falls away and we experience heaven on earth.

Cody Crawling (kind of)

So this Video is more for family, but if you would like to see my little chuck a munk crawl~please do so. He is almost 6 months and into more and more each day. I am not ready for him to crawl, but I have accepted it since he is not asking for mommy's opinion! We love him so much and are thankful each day for our little boy and the joy and laughter he brings to this home of two crazy sisters~and their parents!

Word of the day...By Cheyenne

Okay, so this morning while I was getting Chey ready for school, and Shelby and Cody! (yikes, what ever happen to being ready in 20 minutes!!) Anyway, She was telling me that her teacher Mrs. Brown was not going to be at school today cause she had to do something, I can't remember what she said. So I asked her
Mom: "Who is going to teach you if Mrs. Brown is not there?"
Chey: "O, don't worry mom, we have a "sub-a-toot".
Mom: "Wait, what did you say?"
Chey: "Mom, a "sub-a-toot".
Mom: Oh, you mean a Substitute."
Chey: Yeah, a sub-a-toot."
Gotta love that girl and her fun, cute words she comes up with daily. Had to share for sake of her never really having baby talk.~She has always spoken very clearly and pronounces words perfectly.
So enjoy our word of the day~ "Sub-a-toot!"

O The Weather outside.....

So lately the weather has been weird and not to mention yucky!! I am so done with the heat! If I could go the snow right now I would!! We have been getting alot of the moisture from the monsoons and tropical storms that are happening in the oceans right now, but look at the amazing pictures I got of the clouds the other night! I have never seen clouds like that before, and it was just beautiful to see. You can see at the back of this picture the darker clouds~which were the storm that was happening but never made it to us. It got really windy and dark a little while after these pictures. Kind of crazy but soon I will be enjoying the 85 degree weather and happy to be outside again taking walks with the kids and letting them run their little hearts out at the park!!

Trip To The Mountains

Here is our little angel high above the valley where we live. We were about 3000 feet above sea level, and if you look over her shoulder you can see Palm Desert. Cheyenne and Daddy enjoying the view!

Woo Hoo! I officially love to have my picture taken!

Cody @ 5 Months!

Our Little boy is growing so fast! HE loves to take baths with his sisters. This was in Nanny and Papa's fun Jacuzzi tub. He loves the water, he gets so quiet and relaxed when we are either swimming or he's in the bathtub. Such a little lover! Cody is getting more interested in his food. He doesn't like rice cereal~AT ALL! He does like his oatmeal and bananas. (even though this pic displays otherwise). I was never big into baby food~my kids were such good breast fed babies, that I never really pushed the baby food thing. Cody is definitely into food~so I think I will have to give in and be better at feeding him "real food".
He is such a little chunk! I love it. He has gotten so fun in the past month or so~he is such a mover~he is almost crawling! And no, it's not me being that mom that thinks he is, and says he is~really I don't want him to start crawling, I'm not ready!! He gets up on all fours and moves his legs forward. He is just starting to figure out that he has to move his arms along with his legs. So cute and he loves trying to make it happen. He is starting to sit up like a big boy~still a little wobbly, but he's kind of top heavy!

Cody, I can't believe that you are 5 months! Please stay little for just a bit longer. I can't get enough of you and you are such a momma's boy! (u like daddy too, but I'm definitely your fav!) You have brought so much love and laughter into our family. You love seeing your sisters and get so excited when you see them~kicking and laughing. You are such a blessing in our lives, and I'm so glad that you picked me to be your mommy!

It's My Birthday....

And I'll cry if I want to, cry if I want to! (I didn't though). SO yes, Today I turned 31! It's kind of weird, 30 was hard only cause I made it traumatic, but I was so busy getting us ready to move that it kind of passed~no party, no fuss, no nothin! I was just so worried about turning 30. This year is different, maybe because of the things that are happening in our life.
I am more sentimental about family(more than I am which is A LOT). being away from my family stinks! period. I really don't like it. My first baby started school~that makes me feel old and weird~like it's not supposed to happen yet!
I Have 3 kids! Sometimes (like today) i sit and watch my family in awe and wonder how it all happened. I swear I was like 22 yesterday, dating Shane and not having a care in the world, and now 9 years later, here we are! It's all good though, don't get me wrong. I guess today was more about pondering my life and where it is and where it's going and where I want it to go.
There have been some great things that have happened lately. Things that I have only dreamed about. (no details yet, maybe at a later date~sorry). I can't deny that the lord is with me and hears my every prayer and hope! All my life I have had a tough time figuring out if I'm worth the Lord loving me and giving me everything. Now I know, and can't deny it. He has answered my prayers and is blessing me and all my hard work and struggles that I have gone through.
I guess after writing this entry I see that today was a great day, full of thought and acknowledgement of the wonderful blessings I have in my life. It is true what they say about your 30's being WAY better than your 20's! I can testify to that.
So Happy Birthday to me! I'm a pretty cool chick with great friends and a amazing family~near and far. I have come a long way, and actually look forward to my 40th birthday when I can look back and say how truly great my 30's were!
Thanks for listening and reading, I 'm off to watch my fav~Conan with my darling husband!

School Days!

So my little Cheyenne has officially started school! I can't believe it~is she really old enough to go to Kindergarten? And how did that happen? She has to wear a uniform~which i didn't find out until like last minute~(I'm new at the whole mom with kid in "real" school thing). I cried on the way home from dropping her off. Shelby didn't really know what was wrong with me. I was happy and sad that my 1st little baby was off at school without me!
She loves it! She is such a good girl in school and she is proud of the fact that she hasn't been put on the "time~out" chair! We are proud of that accomplishment as well!

So here is my kick off to our first official school year! I hope its a good one! Cheyenne~we love you and are so proud and happy that you are in Kindergarten! I can't wait to see what this year has in store for us!

Shelby, shelby, Shelby!

So my little almost 3 year old decided to test my patience today! All morning she was into everything, being loud and waking up the baby. Getting into markers, etc. Well I went to the garage to put something in the hamper, turned around, came back in to see this on our kitchen floor! Momma was mad! She got sent to the stairs for timeout, but I was not in the mood to even see her so I sent her to her room for a more severe "timeout". I did manage to salvage some on the chocolate goodness Nesquik is to me and my kids. (I love Nesquik with a passion, we are chocolate milk fans)
Don't worry, she is still alive. :) She came and peeked through the stairs and said in her cute little toddler language "sorr-wy momma". She helped me vacuum up the rest and now she knows to not get the chocolate milk herself! Lesson learned!

Cody at 4 Months

Here is a fun video of Cody today. He is such a love and I can't imagine our life without him! He loves his sisters and he is a total "mamma's boy". He has been such a blessing to this family and I know that he was given to us for so many reasons; most that I won't know for a while. He has such a sweet disposition and has gotten to be such a happy baby. He is still trying to get used to his time with daddy while I am at work. Shane does a great job dealing with the crying Cody preforms for like 2-3 hours. (luckily for Shane I am home within 4 hours).

Cody, we love u so much and look forward to many years of you making us laugh and love!

His stats are as of today: Height~25 3/4in

Weight~17.4lbs! My big boy!

6 Years Today!

Shane and I have been married 6 years today! Wow! How time flies. We look like such babies in this picture. It's been a great 6 years~full of laughter, tears, KIDS, love and making this thing called marriage work! It hasn't been easy but I can't imagine my life anywhere but with Shane. I love him so much and I love the man he is and still becoming. HE is an amazing dad and does so much for his kids. He truly is a natural father and I love that about him!
Here's to another 6 and MORE!

The Family Reunion! (finally)

Here are some of my favorite pictures from our FUN family reunion in Folsom, CA!The Cousin "ladder Picture". All 16 of them!

My sweet baby Cody sleeping among the towels at the water park.

Our famous "ladder" picture. (Missing Jonathan). we love u brother!

Nanny and Chey. Two peas in a pod~or boat! We had so much fun and it was great for all the cousins to hang out and build on their relationships. I love my family and it was so great to have that time with them. Everyone got along and all activities went off without a hitch which was huge for 29 people (i think)! That was the biggest accomplishment of all! I can't wait to do it again. And it was great to get out of the heat for a few days! Car ride up was HORRIBLE (screaming baby). Ride home not much better. Mix up at bank. up since 4 am. Need vacation from vacation.
All in all~I would do it again just to be with my family!

Oops! Parachuting guy with American flag. Went to Rodeo in town~so much fun and Shane was in heaven. It was the coolest sight to see. I'm so very proud to be an American!
(Okay, now I'm done!)

Okay! So here I am at midnight attempting to blog! It seems everyone this summer is doing bullet points or short sentence blogs. I am on board!Shane's Big 30! He wanted to hang with us his family. We had a great day eating out at every meal! I love u baby! Happy 3~0!
My sweet Shelby after her first "official" hair cut. (not the ones I do after bath with my crappy scissors!) I wasn't happy with the way her hair looked at the salon, but I fixed it and it's way cute now!

Father's day 2009! Shane and his 3 munchkins early Sunday morning. They All picked out a cards and colored it for him. We love u daddy!

Summertime!

SO this is what happens when you let your kids play outside in the driveway without shoes on! This is the start of summer for us~running outside getting sweaty and dirty in our driveway. The girls had so much fun. Shane and I played with the frisbee while the girls rode their bikes and chased the dog. You should have seen the water in the bath when they were finished!
Yikes! Here's to a happy and dirty summer!

Cheyenne's Graduation!

Cheyenne graduated from her pre~school on Wednesday. She loves attention~however she gets all "Drama Queen" when there are too many people watching her. This is her entrance with her little "crush". U can't see it, but she is holding onto the back of his gown. Hilarious! This was their yummy cake to celebrate!
Here is Cheyenne with her proud Daddy~we were so happy he could get out of work to see her on her big day! Thanks for coming dad!

Shane with his "crew". It was a fun day and now we are preparing Cheyenne for Kindergarten! I can't believe my baby is going to actual School!

Cheyenne with one of her teachers~Ms. Cynthia. Too stinkin' cute getting her "diploma". I will someday hold this picture next to a picture of her graduating from High School! Cheyenne~ we are so proud of you and can't wait to see what is next for you. We love u so much and thank you for all you do for your family!
Congratulations!
