I can't believe that my little baby girl turned 6! How oh how did this happen!
I love her to pieces~she is the one person that made me a mother. I have such a special place in my heart for her, she has such a sweet spirit. I truly believe that she came to this earth with a full knowledge of what this life is about and where she came from. She has an old soul I believe. She is such a big help and is quite the little mother in our household. She loves to play by herself but is good to share her time with her little sissy.
She is doing great in school, loves her friends, teacher and homework! She can be such a girl at times~with the rolling of the eyes and sassy-ness, but she is quick to say sorry and make it right. I can't wait to see what the next 6 years hold for her (and us!) She is growing up so fast and sometimes I just want to freeze her right where she is! She is such a good friend to me and is always looking out for her momma! Happy Birthday Chey, I love you so much and I hope that this year brings you the best it can! Keep smiling and holding that beautiful head of yours up high! Xo~momma

Today I am....
THANKFUL. I usually am a pretty thankful and blessed but today I feel more so than any other day. Don't have a reason but things have been kinda crazy in the Losey family for the past little while and I have had to practice my faith and I mean REALLY practice. Sometimes we need a little push to focus on having more faith. It's easier said than done, this I know.
I love this time of year, ESPECIALLY here in the desert because it's finally cool and the weather is amazing! This is when I get why so many people have second homes here. From about October to may it's perfect weather. It's been really cold the last couple of day, and by cold I mean it's been getting down into the high 50's, low 60's at night. I do realize that is not that cold to most people, but when you live in the desert and for the past 4 months it's been 95* and above, 60 seems pretty cold.
I am thankful for Hot Chocolate~i know that might sound silly, but the girls and I wait patiently all year for it to get cold enough for us to have our hot chocolate nights! It's a memory and a tradition that we have had for a few years and it's become more meaningful since we moved to he** and it's not always hot coco weather!
I am thankful for my amazing husband! He has been through a lot lately, good and bad, but his strength and determination is truly amazing. He has had a pretty rocky life, losing his mom at the young age of 18, being on his own and dealing with a lot of what life has thrown at him. I loved him more today than I did 10 long years ago! He is such a great dad who gets to spend a lot of time with his kids and they love it. He loves to make me laugh and always has a way of making me know that everything is going to be OK!
I am thankful for prayer~It's one of those things that you can ALWAYS do when you need a little help from above and it's a constant in my life. I have had so many prayers answered and I am thankful for each one of those and the peace I feel when I do pray.
And last, I am thankful for my 3 little stinkers! They are the joy and pain of my life! I couldn't imagine my life without any of them, they are so different in so many ways, but a lot a like in others. I love having girls, they remind me of how hard it is to be a little chick! I love my time with them at night after Codman has gone to bed and we just snuggle and hangout before they go to bed. Someday they will be my best friends, just like me and my mom! And my little baby boy! I never thought I could love a little boy as much as I do him! There is a definite difference between my girls and my boy and I love it! He is such a lover, and yet he loves his new found independence at the big age of 19 months! He is such a joy to our family and he and Shane has this bond that I can't describe, and it melts my heart to see both of them! ( and my other little stinker is magnum~our dog)~he is the best addition to our family, he is the snuggler, the protector of us, the joy when we walk through the door, and fully devoted to Shane~I couldn't ask for a better pet in our life. We love you mag!
Anyway, I didn't realize this post was going to take off like it did, but now that I am done, I am feeling ready for the day with a full heart! Try it, take a few minutes and think about what you are thankful for~then maybe your life won't seem to bad!
