EEEWWWWW

So I took Shelby on a walk to day while sissy was at preschool. Why is it that men feel they need to make a giant effort to say hi and get my attention. I am not saying that I am this knock-out beauty queen, but it bugs me to high heaven that they do this. I know we all have had this happen to us at one time or another. And why is it that they are GROSS! I am being kind of mean, but i feel like it right now. This guy today was across the street and he said something that I didn't understand, then he made some noise that made me look just to see what it was...and there he was a GROSS GUY! Why does this happen. I hate it. Do they really think that I am going to run to them and jump in there arms and say "at last, i have found my prince! I am so glad that you made that cat call at me so that I didn't miss my once in a lifetime opportunity to find true love!" Gosh, please men, stop doing this. We don't like it and we never will!! (unless you look like Brad Pitt)

Pirate Pool fun!

We found the 'Pirate Pool'! The girls loved playing in it and they did FOR HOURS!!
Cheyenne is inside that big splash!
Look mom, I did it!
making her way back to the slide. This pool was a blessing, just the right height so that Chey could play and not drown. It was the PLACE to be.

Sleepless in Concord..

So this is new for me. Last night I got home from work around 1130. Had a little bite to eat, then went to bed. I kind of got stuck watching Conan. He is quite funny i might add. Anyway, it was around 1230 and I was drifting off to sleep when I heard the cries of "mama"......"mama". I had to go and check on her. There was Shelby standing in her crib. I usually put her right back down without a word, but last night was different. She was crying like she was in pain. She didn't seem to be acting normal. I picked her up and went back to bed with her. She was still acting kind of funny. She was breathing odd and wandering around the house. Then she said "dora". So mommy put on a dora show for her and all was well. I basically watched her for 15-20 minutes. She would be fine and then start acting weird again. This went on for about 30-45 minutes. (r u keeping track of the time~by now it's almost 2am)
I tried to wake up sleeping beauty (my husband) but that was unsuccessful.
Both Shelby and I continued this lovely ritual of watching Dora then roaming around the house for another hour or so.
I don't think anything was wrong with her..her tummy was making some choice noises which could of been why the late night. FINALLY I turned off the TV to help her realize that it was REALLY time for bed around 4am (last I looked at the clock). I don't know who passed out first, but we both slept until 730 this lovely morning. I look like hell and feel like it too. you know when you are so tired that your eyelids feel dry and as heavy as bricks? Yes? Well, that is the state I am at right now. This is when I wish i had a padded room that I could put my kids in and take a nap!! haha
That is all for now. I am really liking this blogging in the morning thing I have got going on. I am really starting to become addicted. It's like a journal entry, but the cool thing is I get to have people comment and feel my pain. It's great!

First Day of Pre-School!

This is my sweet girl on her first day of pre-school! I can't believe that she is starting the long journey of school! How did my sweet baby become a big girl?Emma, Chey's cousin~goes to the same school. Emma is the "senior" of the group. This is her 3rd year going and is very good at showing Cheyenne the ropes and keeping an eye on her. Very sweet. I had to take a picture of her on her first day of school too!

I love this pic, the girls look so cute walking together with their bags in tote. It takes me back to my first day of school~when school was fun to go to.
Cheyenne, the sassy school~girl!

WWHHHHYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!

So I am exhausted today~I had to work last night (my first night back after vaca) and my knees are killing me, I have big time arthritis. My WHOLE body hurts today and it did last night, I really am getting older. I was up late last night having a talk with my husband~it was good, just very deep and now that I think of it..exhausting. Shelby got up at 430, mind you I finally went to bed at 230. So this morning, Shelby was up at 730 and Chey soon to follow. From the moment they woke up they have been at each others throat!! WHY!? Shelby doesn't understand the meaning of Share and Cheyenne doesn't want to Share. I am walking around with major bedhead, my eyes are puffy, the girls are still screaming at each other. Shane walked out a few minutes ago from shaving with a white beard on trying to figure out why I haven't made the screaming go away. It was kind of funny to see him try and take charge with his face covered in shave cream. Why do my kids have to fight and scream at each other. On days like today it's like my girls know that I am tired and need the extra chaos to make my day complete.

Okay, so Cheyenne just told Shelby to "I don't want to hear your whining" Where did she get that from? Now Shelby is screaming bloody murder because she wants something but no of us know what!! Oh my goodness, someone help!!!
(6 minutes later)
All is fine now, Shelby wanted "Dada", and Cheyenne is watching Cinderella and I can get back to my blogging (my drug of choice).
Anyway, I just needed that moment to vent and wonder to the online world why my life is so crazy some days. Now, I want you all to know that I love my crazy life and my two little fighters, but man O man. It's a good thing that women do the mothering thing as well as we do, cause I don't think there would be anybody left in the world is men were mothers!!

And with that I leave you for the day~~Be nice to your kids! LOL(that was for you d-dawg)

Dilemma..

Okay, so I am working on my blog today and tweakin it a bit. I have come to the conclusion that I do not like my blog name! every blog that I visit, I am always jealous of the cute or funny or perfect name that goes with that person. So this is where I need your help. What do I call my blog? It was the Losey family~boring! Then my hubby said "Life of the Loseys". Cute but not likin it! I need some advice and more brain power cause mine alone just isn't working! If you would like to leave your post with a new title that would be great. Maybe I will even give bragging rights to the winner. Thank you very much for your time and help. As I get older, and I have more kids, my brain cells seem to disappear. I hate how that happens. Have a great day and get those juices flowin' for me and my new name!

Hollywood Hair for my girls!

So Shelby and Cheyenne decided to get in on the fun! Shelby is quite the star taking after Michelle Pfeiffer.
Shelby's going Gwen....rock star! These are by far my favorite, Cheyenne with hair!! I love them and it actually gives me a look into 5 years from now when her hair is really this long!!
We had to to Ali Larter, she loves her from the show "Heroes".
Okay, so thank you Heather for the good times! This was fun and scary all at the same time! I think I am going to do my girls next, then Shane.
Beyonce is my favorite! YIKES!
Could I pull this off? Now..be honest!?

A FOR-WARNING..

Just a little heads-up. You will probably be seeing a lot of us in the beautiful Hawaiian Islands, so please don't get jealous, just enjoy. If you choose not to par-take, I totally understand~ I would be bitter too! Thanks....

The WESTIN, MAUI

We finally made it to the Westin at around 8 O'clock. We were totally exhausted, but had to get out and walk around the beautiful resort. This is us in front of the small lake with the Flamingos. Cheyenne was way excited about the Flamingos.

Shane and I took the girls to the beach and had them run around in the soft hawaiian sand. Cheyenne loved it, Shelby wasn't too thrilled with the sand in her toes.

This is what we woke up to every morning. The beautiful Hawaiian mountains and a pretty nice golf course in the distance.

As the sun sets............

As the sun sets on our wonderful trip to Maui we are so bummed to be home!
But let's take a look into the life of the Loseys' on the island of Maui!

My "what's in the cupboard dinner"

Okay, so since we are leaving on VACATION this friday, we haven't gone shopping. So Shane is at work late and I decided to get creative and see what was in the cupboard. It might not look good~but it actually was. We put noodles~chicken~peas~corn in a bowl and mixed it with some butter and parm cheese...and poof~dinner!
I am never worried about Shelby, she will eat anything and always says "Moar"

This is Chey's dinner 5 minutes after I gave it to her...didn't go so well.
After a little coaxing, she ate the whole bowl full. She wanted to show the camera.
All in all, not bad for throwing a few ingredients together~i'm pretty good!

NEW DO!

So this is my new hair-do. I love it. I actually had one of Shane and my friends Jocelyn do it. Shane had helped her out with a little Cole Haan discount, and she offered her services to me!! I really like it, but after seeing this pic I can't seem to get my hair like it is in the picture??!! I will have to experiment today.....

Couldn't make it...

Shelby Lynn loves the movie "Night at the Museum" Don't ask me why because I don't know. This morning in paticular she just couldn't make it through the whole thing.
She usually will SIT and not move for the entire movie...it's a crazy thing, but I LOVE IT!!

Together at last!

This is the DAWG-HOUSE together at last....We haven't seen each other for quite some time, but thanks to Hillary's blog party we were able to bring the Dawgs back together!! Xo Denae

HANNAH MONTANA!!

My Three year old LOVES Hannah Montana. This is her trying out her new Hannah Montana Microphone. You hook it up to the radio and you can really hear yourself on the radio.
